October 27th – October 31st is Bully Prevention Spirit Week!
Throughout the month of October, K–5 students will participate in Second Step lessons focused on the 3 R’s of Bullying: Recognize, Report, and Refuse. Students will learn the definition of bullying and discuss ways to be supportive bystanders when they witness unsafe or unkind behavior. To close out the month, we will celebrate with a Bullying Prevention Spirit Week to promote kindness, safety, and inclusion. Each day will have a fun theme to help raise awareness:
Monday: Team Up Against Bullying – Wear your favorite team jersey or gear.
Tuesday: Powered by Kindness – Dress like a superhero or wear superhero attire.
Wednesday: Peace, Love, and Kindness – Show off your tie-dye or bright colors.
Thursday: Put Bullying to Rest – Wear your coziest pajamas.
Friday: Halloween Parade – Celebrate in costume at our annual parade!
