Kindness Spirit Week

We are excited to share that our school will be participating in Kindness Spirit Week, aligned with the Great Kindness Challenge—a global initiative that encourages students to practice empathy, inclusion, and compassion through everyday actions. Kindness week will take place January 26-30.Throughout the week, students will engage in daily spirit themes and kindness activities at school. To extend this learning, we have attached the Great Kindness Challenge Checklist, which includes simple, age-appropriate acts of kindness students can complete at school, at home, or in the community. Students are encouraged to complete as many acts as they can and return their checklist to school by the end of the week.

Kindness Spirit Week Themes:

💙 Monday – Be Kind to Yourself DayStudents may wear comfy clothes or their favorite color as we focus on self-kindness and positive self-talk.

🧡 Tuesday – Kind Words DayWear something with words (shirt, jersey, or favorite character). Students will practice giving compliments and using kind words.

💛 Wednesday – Include Everyone DayWear school colors as we highlight inclusion and making sure everyone feels they belong.

💚 Thursday – Thankful Hearts DayWear green or hearts. Students will express gratitude by writing thank-you notes to staff and peers.

💜 Friday – Kindness Hero DayDress as a superhero or someone you admire as we celebrate being a kindness leader and standing up for others.

Family Kindness ChallengeWe invite families to join us by encouraging kindness at home! This could include sharing compliments at the dinner table, helping a neighbor, writing a thank-you note together, or completing checklist items as a family. These small moments help reinforce that kindness is a value we practice everywhere—not just at school.Thank you for partnering with us to support kindness, connection, and a positive school community. We look forward to a week filled with compassion and joy!

Warmly,

Tiffaney Knight, School Counselor
