Swimming

Swimming and Water Safety are a part of the 3rd & 4th grade Health and Physical Education Curriculum in Arlington County. Students are given the opportunity to participate in a five day Swimming/Water Safety Program during school hours. Every student that participates in this program will either learn how to swim or will improve upon his or her swimming skills, as well as learn how to be safe in and around water. Students will be supervised and taught by certified aquatic teachers at Yorktown High School and the Tuckahoe PE staff.

Not only is this a wonderful lifetime skill, but it can also be a lifesaver!
